Fashola commends Omatek Computers
….Need for ICT centers in LGA - says Seriki
The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Raji Fashola has commended Omatek Computers, the Africa’s number one computer brand, for facilitating the powering of Radlag.com ICT center in Ijede area of Ikorodu in Lagos.
The governor who commissioned the ICT center thanked Omatek Computers for making it possible for the project to come alive in the area by supplying the Omatek computers brand used for powering of the center in a special arrangement under the company’s e-Xpress computer acquisition initiatives.
Speaking on the initiative, Omatek boss, Engr. Florence Seriki, said that her greatest delight is to see more communities benefit from the company’s easy computer acquisition programme.
According to her, e-Xpress allows individual and corporate bodies buy computers and pay for it by installments over a period of 12 to 24 months.
The project, a partnership between Eko FM, Omatek computers limited and First Bank, is a digital institute for the use of indigenes of the area.
The amazon of technology insisted that organizations should take a cue from Eko FM in rendering social corporate responsibility to their environment and ensure that their area benefits from them, citing the case of Ijede which she described as a welcome development.
She said “ what has happened in Ikorodu is good and will go a long way to make information available at the finger tips of the people of the area that would inevitably transform the entire community. It is interesting to note that many more states are embracing our e-Xpress Initiative”
Omatek N1. billion MOU with First Bank Nigeria plc was targeted at encouraging easy computer acquisition by Nigerians under the e-Xpress initiative, which allows individuals, corporate organizations to purchase computers and pay later.
Also the company is in partnership with Afribank plc which is financing computer acquisition with N1.5 billion, each in about 7 states across the country including Lagos, Ogun, Cross Rivers, Abia etc.
The bank is also in strategic computer acquisition financing partnership with Omatek worth N500million,each for four universities under the computer firm’s e-Xpress initiative.
Present at the important event was Mrs Tinu Aina-badejo, G.M Radio Lagos\Eko F.M Alajede of Ijede, Chiefs and important dignitaries from all walks of life.
