OMATEK introduces smallest notebooks into Ghana
Omatek Computers Limited, African #1 computer brand and the only system manufacturer in Ghana has released its two newest products into the Ghanaian market. The 8” and 10” Notebook are the smallest notebooks in the world and was launched only after Sony by Omatek Computers.
According to the Managing Director of Omatek, Engr. Florence Seriki, “Our special Omatek 8” and 10” Notebook are built specifically with the youth both at the tertiary and secondary schools and the African environment in mind. It is the latest version, sleek, light and very durable. Its Compactness makes it very Easy to Carry for Lectures, Taking Notes and for Meetings.”
Speaking to a cream of media executives at the company’s prestigious office/ factory, she stated that the new releases are the Most Current Classic Notebook that not only replace the Tablet Notebook but its Lightness is incomparable with any Notebook in the world, saying that they are assembled locally and have added to Technology Transfer required for the country.
“In addition, it is adding to the Technology upgrade, Employment Generation and Youth Empowerment in the country. They are obviously backed locally by a robust technical support back-up.” She affirmed.
According to her, interested school could write an undertaking to Omatek bankers to indicate their interest in the scheme and would ensure that rentals are collated and remitted directly on behalf of the students, teachers and lecturers to the bank saying alternatively, the bank will be ready to deal directly with the students or individuals.

The General Manager of the company, Mr. Kobina Jackson, also speaking at the event, explained that the company plans to introduce e-youth, e-tertiary, e-consumer and e-mobile scheme which will allow for easy acquisition of the Notebooks in a flexible manner.
Jackson said, “ this initiative when fully implemented will allow payment that can span for between 6, 12 and 24 months.
The Rentals could also be built inside the School fees for one to two sessions to reduce the financial burden on parents to a minimal level.”
